Aberdare Cottages and Fishing Lodge is a private eco lodge and outdoor wellness destination located in the green lush Mathioya village on the slopes of the Aberdare Ranges, about 125km from Nairobi, and about 65km from the KWS Aberdare Nationl Park game drive access gates.    


It is a romantic countryside accommodation with 15 tastefully rustic and spacious chalets that offer spectacular views. We offer homely and personalized service to ensure your stay is enjoyable. You can enjoy guided nature walks, biking along scenic trails, and fly fishing among other outdoor activities, whether you are looking for an adrenaline-pumping adventure or a relaxing day in nature, we have something for you.

Our rustic conference facilities are fully outfitted, budget-friendly, and are ideal for indoor meetings, conferences, banquets, or social parties and events. We host a series of diverse events at our rustic countryside lodge, including corporate functions, cocktail parties, Nyama Choma meat-eating events, weddings, birthday parties, faith-based events, among other private events. We also offer photography, videography, and events grounds for hire for exclusive group bookings.

    We serve farm-fresh meals served either indoors or outdoors with sumptuous buffet spreads. Our indoor dining is done in the Main Mess Hall, Sam's Bar and Grill, or the Conference Room Restaurant. We also offer superb dining experiences outdoors at the Fishpond Restaurant, Waterfall Deck Restaurant, or right at the Mathioya Riverfront.
